In our organic plant production, we comply with the European organic production regulations certified by the CAERM (Council of Ecological Agriculture of the Region of Murcia) with operator number MU-1242/P and the CAECV (Committee of Ecological Agriculture of the Valencian Community) with operator number CV-3663/E
These regulations guarantee that Babyplant Bio meets the requirements for the production of organic horticultural plants, free from unauthorised phytosanitary waste and respecting natural resources.
Babyplant products and all products you purchase from Babyplant are covered by a legal guarantee against non-conformance under the provisions set out in Law 30/2006, of 26th July, on seeds and nursery plants and plant genetic resources.
Babyplant is the first nursery with GlobalG.A.P. (PPM) and G.R.A.S.P certification.
Since 2008, the year that the GLOBALG.A.P. standard for Plant Reproduction Material (PPM) was published, Babyplant has produced seedlings under this standard for all its leek, celery, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, aromatic herbs, and other horticultural plants. This standard sets out a range of criteria covering matters such as traceability, the use of fertilisers, and management of the farm, soil, pests, waste and pollution. As a result, our production process meets all the requirements, from the plant propagation material to the final product, as well as the development of good environmental practices.
The Plant Reproduction Material is key for any healthy plant, whether fruits, vegetables, flowers or ornamental plants. It’s an important aspect of the production process that requires special care, not only to ensure the product’s quality and safety but also to protect the environment and the health and well-being of workers. The PPM Standard is a benchmark which can be used by producers of plant propagation material to demonstrate that they comply with the requirements of GLOBALG.A.P. It also helps crop producers to find reliable and secure sources of plant propagation material.
The GlobalG.R.A.S.P. module, part of to the GlobalG.A.P. certificate, demonstrates that Babyplant, as a plant nursery specialising in horticultural plant seedlings for outdoor cultivation, complies with good social practices with respect to the well-being and safety of its workers.
